C-Webb REALLY?!

So the warriors signed Chris Webber. Yes, the man that you can pinpoint as the root to 13 years of pain and suffering by warrior fans. Of course, many warrior fans don't even remember the Webber fiasco. But he asked out of an area where the fans loved him because of a disagreement with Don Nelson. Uhhh, yeah the same Don Nelson that is the current coach of your Golden State Warriors.

Okay, people tell me to let it go, it was thirteen years ago. But just LAST YEAR, I heard Webber complaining about not playing enough in Detroit when he was averaging about 25-30 minutes a game. Webber can certainly help get players more rest. But the players that need the most rest is B-Diddy and Stephen Jackson. Webber will take minutes from Biedrins and Harrington. Plus, what if he does decide he doesn't like it here, will Mullin just get rid of him. What if he just doesn't work out? Can he maintain the run and gun pace of oour Warriors? His knees are about 50 years old. We need a rebounder. Will he do the grunt work in the paint? He is an elbow jumper kind of a guy.

People love the move cuz Webber is a BIG NAME. Don't forget he also disappears in clutch time. And it seems like every Warrior game has clutch time. As for now, he is signed so I will hope he can play 15-20 minutes, get us 7 rebounds and 8-10pts and not be a distraction. I don't know if this move can significantly improve the team. As of right now, the Warriors are a playoff team. I just hope Webber keeps it that way.

The C Webb experiment will be over soon and he will find himself relegated to the bench and inactive against any team that can move the ball up and down the court (i.e. the Suns). In an amazingly short amount of time, he has proven he brings absolutely nothing to the table in his old age. His passing skills??...who needs to pass when you got Monte taking on the entire opposition?!?!:-)

Lights off,
