CRABS

Last Wednesday night, I was reminded how great life is. On the way home from BART, I ran into our cousins. I was watching an America's Game 1988 49ers and looked up to see Joyce. It was great. She gave me a ride to my car cuz the BART parking lot was full and I had to park several blocks away, saving me about ten plus minutes.

Anyway, when I got home I saw Mary Anne cooking in the kitchen with a big crab in her hands. She was making Crab for dinner. What an awesome surprise!!!

I got a phone call from my brother in law and sat outside in my porch to talk him because it was loud in the house. While talking to him, I saw my neighbors, Barni, Steph and Katie (and Tiger)walking by. They stopped by and we chatted for almost half an hour.

Katie (who just turned 1) was showing off her walking skills. It was hilarious. She would just go up the stair, turn around and walk down it, and continue in the cycle. But sometimes she would walk to the top step and start cheering and clapping. She is so cute. I even videoed some of (I will try to post later).

Mary Anne came out and it was like a miniparty. We were just hanging out in our porch. I thought it was an asian version of 227. We brought Kona out and her and tiger were sniffing each other. It was fun.

During our talk, Christina, Barni's sister walks by with her dog Mocha. It was a great time. I was real tired that day from a long commute and getting home late the night before and had no idea that the night would be this fun. Even though our conversation lasted at most half an hour I just felt so blessed to have these people in my life, to have friends that live so close, to have crab for dinner...

Oh when we got back in the house, the crab was ready. Mary Anne took the crabs out of the roaster and we started grubbing. OH.............MY..............GOD!!! It was soooooooooooooooooooo good! I was in friggin heaven. I ate a whole crab to myself and I just couldn't stop. It was definitely the best crab I ever had. I had no cracker so I was just going savage on that thing! She bought them on sale at Ranch 99 still alive so they were still fresh. Right now, I am salivating just thinking about that great dinner.

That was just one night in my life and they aren't all that fun or memorable but its hard to imagine that after a tough day of work and a commute where BART was running slow, I was on a train with only 4 cars, and I just wanted to crash, turned out to be a simple, beautiful day filled with memories.
