A common new years resolution is to stay healthy. and take it from me someone that hasn't regularly worked out in years, it isn't easy staying on track. but one thing that makes it easier is good work out music. here are some of the songs on my workout playlist...
1. Real American - yup, Hulk Hogan's theme always pumps me up. throw 300 lbs on the bench and lets get this workout started.
2. Have a Nice Day (Bon Jovi) - a song with a good beat and a message about not caring about what other people say.
3. The Touch (Transformers soundtrack) - yeah everytime i hear this song, i think i'm optimus prime turning the tide and saving the autobots. One shall stand, one shall fall. Dont download the Mark Wahlberg boogie nights version.
4. Eye of the Tiger (Survivor) - even if you aren't training to beat a menacing dude with a mohawk or a huge Russian on steroids, this song will still inspire you. FYI...did you know that the guy who sings those real men of genius songs is the lead singer of Survivor.
5. Here I Go Again (Whitesnake) - when you are working out alone I don't even need to see a fine chick dancing on a car's roof when this song starts playing. I've made up my mind, I ain't wasting no more time...
6. Lose Yourself (Eminem) - Whoa! I thought this was going to be an all rock list. Nope! This song has a way of getting me hyped. If you had one shot, one opportunity to seize everything you've ever wanted, one moment, would you capture it, or just let it slip. I don't want it to slip so I got to throw up more 45's on the leg press.
7. Higher (Creed) - Rap, now Christian Rock. That's right. Hey not just cuz I am religious, this song makes me want to be more than I am. Who doesn't want to be taken higher to a place with golden streets.
8. Living on a Prayer (Bon Jovi) - Sometimes all you got is a prayer especially when you don't think you have anything left and you still haven't started your cardio.
9. Welcome to the Jungle (Gun N Roses) - This is better played before a big sporting event you are playing in but it still works. The gym does feel like a jungle. You got to tap into your animal instincts to survive a brutal workout.
10. Enter Sandman (Metallica) - When this songs starts and that guitar riff hits and you are half delirious, you will forget about the pain and finish off this workout like a rockstar.
11. Burning Heart (Survivor) - Man, survivor just has a knack for inspirational songs. did they really sing The Search Is Over??? In the warriors code there is no surrender, though his body says stop, his spirit cries...NEVER!
12. #1 (Nelly) - What does it take to be #1? It takes hard work and this song will help you strive to be #1 cuz 2 is not a winner and 3 no one remembers.
There are a lot of other songs that could help me get pumped. Since You've Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson even gets me pumped. I don't even know the lyrics but it starts slow then picks up and you want to go crazy. It's kind of the same thing with that new Pink song, So What. U Will Know by black men united gets me pumped too.
Even slow songs could pump me up. One Moment in Time by Whitney Houston make me want to work harder. Plus she wails with so much emotion it just moves you. Blaze
of Glory hooks up to especially now that I am older. If playing softball or basketball, I don't have many games left and I got to work hard cuz when I go out I want to go out like a champ.
Well go download the songs that pump you up and get healthy for the 2009! I'm gonna go get started by using the Perfect Push-Up I got for Christmas. Happy New Year!

I think you should add "It's Raining Men" to your list. Sounds like something you'd rock out to. :)
Is this the playlist you used to lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks? I don't remember seeing you wear headphones.
